Ethereum’s largest crypto mixer remains Tornado Cash

Arkham posted on the In the past 30 days, $77.35 million in assets have been transferred through its contracts on the ETH mainnet.

Tornado Cash operates on 7 different chains and obfuscates the transfer of 10 different crypto assets. The most mixed asset is native ETH on the Ethereum mainnet, and at its peak in July 2021, Tornado Cash held over $700 million in ETH in its contracts. After being sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department, Tornado’s assets shrank by more than 60%, and its transfer volume dropped sharply. But despite the arrest of two-thirds of Tornado’s founders, TVL and transfer volumes have since recovered, with Tornado TVL currently standing at around 118,300 ETH ($187.9 million).
