Circle CEO: USDC will launch on the Base network next week

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated on social media that Circle’s USD stablecoin USDC will be released on the Base network next week. The new version will replace the USDbC that most users rely on and eventually eliminate the need for a USDbC bridge version.

As of press time, the Circle team has yet to announce a specific date for the coin’s official launch, with Allaire saying only that it will be released sometime “next week.”
