CryptoPunks topped CryptoSlam’s daily NFT sales chart on Wednesday, achieving $1.29 million in sales. This marks the third consecutive day the iconic NFT collection has secured the top spot.
The resurgence in CryptoPunk sales comes amidst growing concerns within the community about a potential decline in the value of these assets. Recently, investor Deepak Thapliyal announced the sale of CryptoPunk #5822, which had previously been valued at $24 million. Although the exact sale price was not disclosed, it is speculated that the transaction was made at a loss for approximately 5,000 Ether, equating to around $12.8 million.
On Wednesday, CryptoPunks recorded 15 transactions involving 11 distinct buyers and 13 sellers, with an average sale price of $86,582. The collection’s robust performance contributed to a total all-time sales volume of $2.87 billion, placing it third in the market rankings.
Following CryptoPunks, the Bored Ape Yacht Club secured the second position with $861,724.21 from 26 transactions. The Mythos Chain’s DMarket came in third, generating $738,879 from an impressive 25,578 transactions, while Pudgy Penguins achieved fourth place with $587,545 in sales.
Guild of Guardians Heroes and Mutant Ape Yacht Club rounded out the top six, with sales of $464,522 and $433,094, respectively. Ethereum, the blockchain supporting CryptoPunks, led all blockchains in sales with a total of $6.46 million.
