XRP saw a significant rise in value on Thursday, reaching $0.6188 by 16:18 (20:18 GMT) on the Investing.com Index, marking a 15.52% increase in just one day. This surge represents the cryptocurrency’s largest single-day percentage gain since August 7.
The upward movement pushed XRP’s market capitalization to $34.92 billion, accounting for 1.67% of the entire cryptocurrency market. Despite the recent rise, XRP’s market cap remains well below its all-time high of $83.44 billion.
Over the past 24 hours, XRP fluctuated between $0.5794 and $0.6408. Over the last week, the cryptocurrency has gained 7.07% in value. Trading volume in the last 24 hours reached $5.94 billion, representing 6.30% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. During the past week, XRP traded within a range of $0.4327 to $0.6418.
Despite the recent gains, XRP is still down 81.19% from its peak of $3.29, set on January 4, 2018.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Also See Gains
In other cryptocurrency news, Bitcoin was trading at $59,489.1 on the Investing.com Index, up 8.02% on the day, while Ethereum saw a 9.42% increase, trading at $2,573.74.
Bitcoin’s market cap stood at $1.17 trillion, making up 56.19% of the total cryptocurrency market, while Ethereum’s market cap was $310.02 billion, representing 14.87% of the market.
