Bitcoin market cap surpasses valuation of Berkshire Hathaway

Bitcoin has surpassed the market capitalization of Warren Buffett’s investment conglomerate, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKa). This development was highlighted by Anthony Pompliano of Morgan Creek Digital on Crypto Twitter.

Pompliano pointed out that not only has the market value of bitcoin surpassed that of Berkshire Hathaway, but it has also outpaced the company’s growth over the past five years. This achievement is particularly symbolic for digital currency advocates, as Buffett has been a vocal critic of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

Known for his long-term investment strategy and skepticism of speculative assets, Buffett is currently ranked as the fifth richest person in the world, with a net worth of $118.5 billion.
